Possible Commercial

So, I've been thinking, as a way to further promote the shop, I should create a commercial to upload to Youtube! How awesome would that be, right? I mean, it is another outlet, after all. For now, it will have to be a commercial strictly for jewelry, but I could put my coming-soons on there, I suppose.

It'll be fun! Heck, why not?

Another Week...

I don't know if people realize this, but promoting a shop is taxing! I'm so ready to get it all over with and start on other aspects my shop. But, alas! I shall not fail! I just made 24 business cards with a temporary design. I just used my shop banner (which I also created tonight, as a temporary design) and put the URL underneath it. Not too catchy, I know. But hey! I need to start with something.

I don't think I'll even be online next week, because Wednesday is my son, Tiernan's first Birthday! But like I said, after June 2nd, I'll be moving onto the next step, whatever that may be. Probably promoting the individual items while preparing some new inventory. I dunno.

I also have plans to have a makeshift "craft sale" maybe at the end of June, or some time in July. It'll be mixed in with a yard sale that I've been wanting to do for a while. I usually have a yard sale every year, or at least I have for the past three years. It's fun, but tiring, and I have yet to reap any rewards from it. The location I have to choose is NOT prime for yard saling. But, we'll see. I really need to kill off some inventory. Maybe a BOGO? Hmmm...

Anyway...Amanda, the painter (she hasn't been able to do anything for the shop just yet, because of certain situations which we won't discuss) is planning on getting some paintings up sooner or later. I think she has one that has yet to be finished. she's going through an adjustment, so we'll let her take care of all that first. ^_^

I, Stacy, have plans for listing fairy sketches and some photo prints. I still have to finish the sketches and find just the right photos to list. They'll be up there, though!

Oh, and just so you know, the word "sundries" means a grouping of multiple items or "misc. items" so you can expect to see things other than art and jewelry in our shop sometimes!

This is it for me this week, though. I have to get ready and get home and put some boys to bed, and do a little writing. I'm writing a book, too, along with all this! Crazy, huh? I'll be seen online probably but not next week, but the week after, unless I can get online at an earlier time. Until then, bye!

Promotion Campaign

So far, my promotion campaign is going very well, in my opinion. A campaign? Yes, I'm going through as many networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and now Blogger, to create awareness. Awareness in Painted Fae. Sure, it's a tiny shop with no sales (yet!), but with the proper promotion methods, we'll be raking in the cash before too long!

I'm going to be doing this campaign until after June 2nd, because my son's first Birthday is that day, and I need to focus on that when I'm not online. I only log on once a week, so my party planning has a lot of time to unfold. :D

Once June 3rd rolls around, I'll be focussing much more on creating new items for the shop, as well as building an inventory for the upcoming craft fair in my hometown--but that is another post entirely!

First, Welcome

First of all, let me welcome you to the blog! In case you don't already know, this blog is dedicated to keeping you updated on the goings-on within Painted Fae, our humble little shop on Etsy.

We (that's Amanda and I) will post up information on projects to be selling in the shop, ideas on new products, and maybe even a sale! We will tell you about ideas for promotions, post up links to some of our own featured sellers and products, and we might even post up links to how-to vids and whatnot.

So, make sure to follow us closely, or you could get left behind! We plan on making Painted Fae into the greatest thing since...well, since anything! :D
